About Simon

Simon Shingleton is husband to Rachel at (PencilShavingsBlog) and dad to Jude, the coolest little guy you'll ever meet.  In his spare time Simon enjoys spending as much time with them as he can.  You'll also catch him cycling it up all over the streets of OKC along the Oklahoma River and looping around Lake Hefner; or checking out the newest restaurants to open up in town.  He and Rachel feel truly blessed to have both sets of parents and siblings in town and enjoy spending time with them as well.  They love to travel, though with a little one, the trips seem to be closer to home these days.

Simon took an interest in real estate early in life.  He remembers scouring the real estate section of the local paper as a pre-teen, trying to decide which part of town he would choose to buy a house in and studying the sample house plans to see which layout would be best for his family.  After getting his real estate license he was offered an opportunity to intern for a summer for a developer with a new project in the Dallas metroplex.  That summer lead to almost 8 years in residential development after graduating from the University of Oklahoma.  From buying raw land to, utilities and roads to home construction and resale; he has seen the full circle of creating community and a place for families to call home.

At Keller-Williams

After joining Keller-Williams Northwest in 2009, Simon not only had the highest listing units for the 4th quarter but he also received the Silver Award for Outstanding Production. Capping in his 1st year in production was a highlight as he headed into 2010  and was awarded Rookie of the Year and outsold over 150 agents and landed in the top 10% for his office for listings & buyer sales.  He was also voted Best of the Best Realtor® by readers of Oklahoma Magazine in 2011.  Simon was awarded Gold in 2011 for doubling sales and production and ranked in the top 3 at his office.

Community Involvement & Organizations

Being a part of local organizations such as OKCMAR (Oklahoma City Metropolitan Association of Realtors) is important to Simon Shingleton as he grows his business. In 2011 he was voted in by his piers as a Director to the Board of the Association.  In addition to his participation in OKCMAR, Simon is also a member of several committees including Gen Next, the Green Council, and the Membership Committee.  His nomination to be a board member in the Quail Creek Homeowners Association has allowed him to actively participate in decisions made for his community as well as meeting other members of the neighborhood.  And earning a Green Designation in 2010 has given him the opportunity to have a greater understanding of new advances in building.
As a proud member and supporter of the Oklahoma City Orchestra League, Simon is actively involved in planning the 2011 Symphony Show House and again in 2012.
